Community Rallies to Aid Glass Artist

Friday February 17, 6-10pm. Benefit Reception and Silent Auction for Bud Shriner’s Glass Studio, at Mt. Philo Inn, 27 Inn Road, Charlotte, VT. Suggested donation $15. Help local glass artist recover from studio fire. Light food from Starry Night Café and others. Selection of Church & Maple Glass for sale, Silent Auction of goods and services. 7pm, beginner lesson in Argentine Tango with Elizabeth Seyler, followed by open dancing to swing, salsa and Argentine tango music. A fire in January destroyed the studio where Shriner produces his distinctive, hand-blown Church and Maple Glass -- vases, bowls, cake plates, lighting fixtures and more -- in an array of jewel-toned colors. Members of the community have come together to provide support for Shriner’s efforts to salvage and rebuild the studio.

Throughout the month of February, Church and Maple Glass by Bud Shriner will be featured at Creative Space Gallery and the gallery drop box will collect donations towards the rebuilding of the glass studio.
